Erwan Trouilly
Erwan Tarouilly, a French national, started his career at Ernst & Young France for several years, until he reached a Managerial level. He then joined JOA Group, France’s 3rd largest Casinos and hotels operator, as a Cluster Finance Director and later became Group Internal Audit Manager and created and developed the Audit Department. After a four-year tenure with JOA Group, Erwan moved to SBM Monte-Carlo, group of hotels, retails and Casinos as Group Financial Controller, wherein he was responsible for the financial control, planning and analysis for the group.
Erwan’s overseas career started as an Executive Finance & Administration Director at Mazagan Beach Resort in Morocco, a part of Kerzner International/One & Only Resorts portfolio, it is the 1st Hospitality company in Morocco and largest casino operator in Africa revenue wise. In this role, he led a team of 90 people and is responsible for the Finance department of the Resorts & Casinos, Internal Audit, Purchasing, Legal and IT. He worked on equity and debt restructuring as well. After a 3-year tenure with Kerzner, Erwan joined Constellation Hospitality Group, a portfolio of 6 luxury hotels in Africa, as a Regional Director of Finance & Administration and was later promoted to Deputy CEO. During this time, he implemented and lead a new commercial strategy and marketing plan which significantly improved both from a revenue growth perspective and margin improvement.
Erwan began his career in Dubai with Al Habtoor Hospitality in 2015 as Group Director of Finance. He leads the Finance and Administration functions for the Hospitality branch of Al Habtoor Group. After 3.5 years tenure with Al Habtoor Hospitality, Erwan joined Ishraq Dubai LLC as Chief Financial Officer on May 2019. He was assigned as Acting CEO until June 2021. In his current role, he oversees 8 franchised and managed hotels from InterContinental Hotels, ranging from 2* to 5* classification, and a Travel Agency. One of his greatest achievements was managing the Finance and Operations function of the company during the Covid-19 pandemic and achieving a positive Net Operational Profit, with a good margin percentage in spite of the circumstances and market condition.
With over 25 years of experience, Erwan is a self – driven, results – oriented leader with a strong understanding of the hospitality business in the UAE, Africa and Europe. He has worked with the biggest names in the industry – IHG, Marriott, Hilton and Wyndham Hotels. He has a master’s degree in Internal Audit and Financial Control and a master’s degree of Science in Economics and Management from University of Lyon.
